Seth Bunting is an anomaly: a deviation from the common rule, type, arrangement or form.
He grew up in Boone County, West Virginia, which he attributes to making him who he is in a ‘southern hospitality personality' way. But he was never completely comfortable with that characterization in high school, from which he graduated a year early to move to the big Music City in pursuit of his dream career. He says he’s a mix of city and country and that’s why he named his new album "Chrome Country" because both Boone County and Nashville have influenced who he is today.
He stepped onto a musical theatre stage at five years old; his first "entertainment" job and never stepped down. He began writing songs three years later around the same time he entered and won a Gospel Music singing contest. He recorded two Gospel CDs and a Holiday CD before he turned fourteen and he continued singing Southern Gospel music for nine years!
But he grew up on ‘Country/Pop”. He’s a huge fan of Shania Twain, Keith Urban and Tim McGraw but he keeps a Bruno Mars playlist on repeat, and when it comes to being an entertainer, Michael Jackson is his point of reference!
Seth has shared the stage with artists like Jamie O'Neil, Landau Eugene Murphy, Highway 101 and others. He’s performed at Pigeon Forge in Tennessee, MAC in Kentucky, Levee shows in Charleston West Virginia, and most recently at Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge and Rippy’s during the 2017 CMA Fest and The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Kanawha Valley fundraiser, a cause that is dear to him.
His new CD is titled “Chrome Country” and the cover features Seth in front of a vehicle covered in chrome. Drive; there it is again. His new single… “I Drive” was co-written by Seth with Anita Cox and Corey Barker, two successful Nashville songwriters. Maybe the single should have been called, I’m Driven!
He worked hard and long on this project, intent on making it an unforgettable collection of original songs and styles. It’s a journey inside the heart and soul of a city/county boy, driven by pop and country with a dose of urban and guitar. You’re going to find a road map of all kinds of musical directions on “Chrome Country” by Nashville Recording Artist, Seth Bunting; Gospel, Country, Pop and more.
Like he's admitted before, Nashville has influenced him artistically in so many ways. Keep and eye on this young man and his career, for so much music is pouring out of him at such a young age! "I've probably written a song for every day I've lived here in Nashville" he says! Unlimited genres and sounds come alive when Seth is working on the project, as he puts no boundaries on a melody with lyrics. So many great things are in the works, so stay updated here for more VIP exclusive content.
Seth has been working non stop since the moment he landed in Nashville three years ago, and day by day there’s more to do of course! He leaves hints on social platforms of a new project, but no word as to when it will be dropped. Stepping out of the box is a natural move for Seth, so he is releasing new genre, new sounds, new music will deliver in due time. Pop soul is where he lives…
“2018 brought so many beautiful memories and experiences, I thank God for every moment of it. To be able to continuously work on my music, perform and see you all, write with new artists and work with new people, its been a roller coaster but I wouldn’t change a thing. To take the year out, I wanted to gift you something I knew you would love but be surprised with! CLick to hear!”
Seth performing in Nashville for a Suicide Prevention Boot camp Fundraiser! “It’s something a lot of people don’t talk about but releasing that stress, tension, anger, anxiety, etc. is sometimes the hardest baggage to unload, and can really negatively affect our mindset and even self opinion. It’s affected a lot of people around me, musically inclined and not, including myself, that’s why I’m so excited to get involved with this event!” Every penny went to the AFSM (American Foundation for Suicide Prevention!)
“Thank you everybody at BCF for showing up and showing OUT! Seeing people sing along to my lyrics will never get old 🎼 8/4/18 also thank you Coal Valley News for these amazing show shots.”
“Felt great to be back at the Coal Festival this year! Chrome Country meant so much to me to release and the support I’ve seen during the shows has been life changing. I love seeing all of y’all singing with me! I also can’t wait for you to hear what I’ve been working on! Cant wait to be in front of yall ASAP with new music!”
"Seth's debut album was definitely just a landing pad for the long stretch of his career ahead. Recording Chrome Country was such an unforgettable experience, but the creative wheels are turning faster than ever for this growing artist. These are just a couple of quick photos taken during studio time last month (3/24/18) in Nashville TN where he is working on some new projects and music again!"
"Two times, one weekend! Nashville couldn't get enough of Seth at this years CMA fest! Rippys Bar and Grill had Seth for a slow acoustic show on 6/8/17 , then to Tootsies Orchid Lounge for a final show on 6/11/17!"
"A long coming dream of Seths has been to perform for Live on the Levee, and in fall of 2017, along with the release of his new album, Seth performed all the favorites from the new record on the riverbank, hoping to return for more in the future!"
